About GCEDD

Grenada County Economic Development District (GCEDD) is the lead economic development organization for Grenada, Mississippi. GCEDD was created under state statute 19-9-11 by the Grenada County Board of Supervisors.

In 2008 the Board of Supervisors appointed a new board to focus on the following goals:

  • Attract viable industrial employers to bring jobs and revenue to the city and county.
  • Develop and implement a plan for broad economic growth in the city and county.
  • Coordinate collaboration among various boards, councils, private, city, county and state, involved or interested in industrial development projects.

GCEDD activities are guided by Executive Director, Pablo Diaz, and an appointed board of local business leaders.
